A Midsummer Night's Dream is a romanticcomedy by William Shakespeare written sometime in the 1590s. It portrays the adventures of four young Athenian lovers and a group of amateur actors, their interactions with the Duke and Duchess of Athens, Theseus and Hippolyta, and with fairies who inhabit a moonlit forest.
The movie version of this paly starring Michelle Pfeiffer, Kevin Kline and Calista Flockhart was the inspiration for this collection. I love the forest scenes in the movie when the fairies are mischevioulsy interfering with the lovers!
The mix of tourmaline, freshwater pearls and handmae silver flowers has an etherial quality about it. The fresh water stick pearls have a superior lustre, making them a beautiful aubergine color.
If you look closely at the detail picture of the necklace you will see that I have made actual links out of small faceted tourmaline. This is for wearing the necklace short linke a choker or a bit longer. Simply put the bar part of the toggle through the desired tourmaline link to clasp the necklace, or if you prefer wear it at its longest length by using the circle part of the toggle at the end of the necklace!
